UDA has published a new Building regulation gazette on 8th July 2021 after long delay. according to the gazette all building regulations published since 1978, (1986,1994,1996,1999,2006, 2008, 2009 and 2011 ) will be superseded.

NVQ Level 5 Drafting Technology(Building) diploma has been accepted as a qualification to design residential buildings up to 500 Sq. M.(5500Sq.Ft.) and non residential buildings up to 400 Sq. M (4400Sq.Ft,)

This is a great victory for IDTSL, Drafting Technologists and whole NVQ system achieved after long struggle.

However there are some issues in the gazette which will be effected to Drafting Technologists.

Institute will be attended to discussions with UDA (some times legal actions) to sort-out these issues immediately.
